MUST HAVE AN UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER THIS IS A NON-SAFESTRAP ROM

This is a port of Team Carbons Rom for the VZW Razr/Maxx Hd. All credit for the creation of the rom is team carbons which is listed at the bottom of the page.

TEAM CARBONS ORIGINAL POST: http://androidforums.com/metropcs-galaxy-s3-all-things-root/691649-rom-official-carbonrom-4-2-2-03-30-a.html

Thanks:

Dhacker for fixing, creating, upating, and correcting and redoing my screw ups and making the changes to cause this beast to work even when his give-a-fuck meter was at -60% and much more.

WITHOUT THESE 2 GUYS THIS PORT WOULD BE NON-EXISTENT.

Bkjolly for helping with many different things both related to this and android in general.

DROID HIVE EXCLUSIVE PLEASE DO NOT POST THIS ELSE WHERE.

CarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. The team is composed of former members of Team Liquid who have forked the code in an attempt to bring greater speed, better coding, and full authorship to code. We are in no way affiliated with Liquid0624. The rom was forked at Liquid beta 3.2.1 and has since undergone major code changes and modifications. Please note that on some devices the kernel is not yet linaro compiled.

Please feel free to look at, build, and use our code on CarbonDev GitHub.

While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash! If you have questions, ask your fellow users or ask us in #teamcarbon on freenode IRC.

I've been running Nexusesque for a while now. Carbon has everything I'm looking for in one package. Downloading now, can't wait to try it out!

What's in the extras zip?

I do not know sir its team carbons stuff i left it in there so people had the option to check it out it may or may not work on the HD . I nor DroidTh3ory or Dhacker have this phone so really had no way of testing those things to see what they are.

It's running very well for me. This is very cool!

Phone/MMS/Camera/GPS are all working fine.

The only thing I'm having trouble with is getting pie to activate - when I press to activate it the navbar acts as if it's going to go away, but then a second later it comes back and the pie doesn't seem to be active.

Thank you!  :D

Quick question about installation instructions...

Same as others

wipe everything of course, but mount system prior to flashing?

Maybe I had a bad download...but I get a black screen after safe strap. Stays that way indefinetly. I'll try downloading it again.

As for the extras. I was stupid. If you click the link, it tells you what's in them.

Do you need to be unlocked for this? Or is rooted fine...

This is not for safestrap. You need an unlocked bootloader + TWRP or CWM. If i remember reading correctly, safestrap development is done.

I've used it because its what I'm used too. I came from the bionic and it was a life saver. I've bee hesitant to unlock because its uncharted territory for me.

But thanks. Maybe I'll take the plunge tomorrow and unlock and give this a whirl.

Dhacker removed kexec from his source for this device lastnight so I doubt you will see many roms that will use it. Unlocked bootloader just gives you the ability to flash anything and flash easier
