This is the full release of my new ROM.

PLEASE READ:
This AOSP is not limited to CM, Vanir, CNA, EOS, AOKP etc. you get the best of all of them.. custom tailored for the galaxy nexus (and nexus 7 soon). no bloat for other devices or unusable additions in the source. the benefit? less bugs and a more optimized experience. More major features will be added from your favorite roms as soon as i can port and improve on them. I will listen to requests but don't get offended if i put them on the back-burner or decide against including them.

Disclaimer: Because I'm using building using commits from every major repo in existence it may take a while to integrate some of the major features to my standards. I may release a stock AOKP feature as a beta until I have the chance to improve it but I'm not interested in band-aid fixing things or duck taping shit together just to get more crap under the features list and change log. Also, If you have questions or interest in building or joining vanirAOSP please message me on gtalk: activethrasher00@gmail.com and feel free to add me on google+

general features:
vanirAOSP base: all features included
customized-for-speed launcher2
optimized memory usage
current bug fixes and improvements from all major repos
additional features not present in vanir
attention to the details
custom UI theming
custom embedded beats 5.1 drivers
louder volume
multimedia enhancements for better camera pictures/video
sony bravia engine
A-GPS enhancements
inverted gapps package
add removal
T5UNAMI v8 speed script
improved performance settings
custom browser
fast torch
toggles, nav bar, yatta yatta
Linaro optimizations (now following their gerrit)
optimized network
remove hard coded throttling
TCP stack optimizations
quicker network tower connect on boot
better multi-tab browsing
major bloat removal
email and exchange available in add-on packs
popcorn kernel included for now
*suggested flash: faux or franco*

Issues:
tab settings in browser FCs. not high priority but i'll get to it for the next build

notes
this is a beta. bug reports are welcome. feature requests are also welcome.
a lot of the features are hidden in the normal menus for a stock-ish look. look before you ask!

Instructions:
download rom
manually wipe as in factory reset to be safe
flash Gapps. I don't care which ones but i use goo.im or CM
flash
PROFIT

Downloads:

Crack flashing in Aruba... Will give it a go sometime tonight. Currently watching Netflix via mhl adapter on my gnex running aokp jb build 4.

Does this rom support hdmi out?

I'll also let you know if i run into any issues with international data. It was troublesome on several roms I've tried since I got here last week.

Downloading now. Glad we have you working on GNEX roms.

I prefer additional features to be kept in separate menus from stock. It's easier to find settings we know are not in stock Android. I can see how devs want to have that more professional, finished product, look by including their settings under the stock locations. It looks nicer, but to a crack flasher it just makes things more difficult to find. Just my 2 cents. I'm not whining here

Using Samsung adaptor that outputs mini usb to full size hdmi. It works great on aokp.

Yes i have Toro, and while here i pay a one time $25 charge for international data. Works on vanir, commotio, and aokp, but not killrone.

*** update ***

International data and hdmi output via Samsung adapter work great. Very clean and responsive rom. Only issue I have is that WiFi is dropping constantly. I'm in a house rental so I cannot troubleshoot WiFi. I may try a different kernel for kicks.

I love where you are taking this PD.

interesting. we fixed the problem we had back in june by disabling ipv6 forwarding within the source. what happened then was in june all the addresses on the VZW network switched to ipv6 which isn't fully implemented yet and caused some havoc. would you mind getting me a pastebin of a logcat when this happens so i can see what is causing it? also please list all the apps you have installed and if any modifications were made to init.d or any of the /xbin or /bin files. the only other thing would be if you tried to connect to a 5 ghz router that was forcing ipv6.

might b a lil while on the pastebin, but i didnt have any apps installed except what was included in the rom,, apps didnt auto restore, so i jus went into settings and turned on wifi before i started downloading apps, then the reboots started.

certain things i agree should be in a condensed fashion such as performance controls. sonic didn't want to add a rom control though which is fine with me because it's so overdone it's not even funny. not much separates two different roms anymore superficially other than the theme. i think his thought process was that if you want to go to a display setting you should just click on display rather than have half there and half in a rom control. it makes sense to me and i really wanted to take a different approach to developing to make something different. you will start to see a lot of new features or existing ones improved on.

will consider. also considering a toggle and making customizable targets in the status bar to contain the home keys so you dont have to hold the power button every time you want to go back. not adding color changing or anything ridiculous to soft keys though.

Yeah, keep it simple. I like the added real estate with small navigation buttons. Changing colors and all that can be left to those that really like to customize theirs.

The UI in Atom is awesome. This ROM with the inverted gapps has what I was looking for out of the box. After using the settings I gotta say it makes sense. Maybe I was too used to having modified settings separate.

Looking forward to sticking around with Atom
